Six Irish competitors took part in the International Shooting Competition of Hannover. The competition attracts a large number of competitors with over 25 countries represented. Facilities in Hannover are excellent and the quality of competitors makes this a truly compelling event for the Irish squad. 

In the 50m prone rifle men's event Seán Baldwin and Conor McDermottroe recorded scores of 616.2 and 613.3 respectively. Seán also competed in the IPC R7 3 position competition, finishing in 10th place with a score of 1121, and the IPC R6 mixed 50m prone competition where a score of 609.3 put him in 14th  position. Siobhán Scarlett competed in the 50m rifle prone women's match finishing with a score of 605.9. In the airgun hall, John Lancaster completed his 60 shots with a score of 577 in the men's air rifle competition. Tomas Jakubauskas finished with a score of 545 in the 10m air pistol event. Phil Eaglesham competed in the IPC R4 10m air rifle competition recording a score of 607.8. He also competed in the IPC R5 air rifle event where he finished in 14th position on a score of 634.1.
