The Target Shooting Ireland National Airgun Championships 2024 will be held in Wilkinstown Target Shooting Club on the 5th and 6th of October.

5th October – National Air Pistol Championships
Qualification Detail 1: 10:00 (Call to Line: 09:30)
Qualification Detail 2: 12:00 (Call to Line: 11:30)
Qualification Detail 3: 14:00 (Call to Line: 13:30)
Followed by a Final and Medal Ceremony.

6th October – National Air Rifle Championships
Qualification Detail 1: 10:00 (Call to Line: 09:30)
Qualification Detail 2: 12:00 (Call to Line: 11:30)
Followed by a Final and Medal Ceremony.
 
Events and Prizes

Event 1: National Championship – Pistol & Rifle
This event is a 10-metre, 60-shot qualifying event leading into a final. The event will follow 2024 ISSF timings and format.

Event 2: National Junior Championship – Pistol & Rifle
All athletes under 21 years of age as of 31st December 2024 are eligible for this event. This event will be held concurrently with the National Championship. Prizes will be based on Qualification scores. No separate entry is required for this event.
 

Event 3: Airgun Team of Three – Pistol & Rifle
This is a team event between affiliated Clubs. The Club with the three highest combined 60-shot scores will be deemed the winner. This event will be held concurrently with the National Championship. Prizes will be based on Qualification scores. No separate entry is required for this event.


Finals – Pistol & Rifle
The Finals for the National Championships will be held after all details have been concluded. Entry to the Finals will be restricted to those eligible to hold an Irish passport. The top eight eligible competitors from the Qualification standings will be selected to shoot in the Finals.

Class Prizes – Rifle
Competitors from Classes B, C and D will be eligible to compete for prizes in their Class. There will be three prizes per class. Prizes will be based on the Qualification scores. Re-entry is not permitted. There are no class prizes for the Air Pistol Championships.

Only one entry per competitor. Firing points will be assigned on the day. Extra details may be added where there is demand.


Competitors must be eligible to hold an Irish passport to win National Medals.
