The Army shooting team travelled to Thun Switzerland yesterday to compete at the World Military Shooting Championships.

The team headed up NTSA Chairperson Liam Crawford is assisted by team coach Sean Baldwin. Shooters Ray Kane and Joe O'Donohue will compete at the 300meter standard rifle 3x20 events using 6 BR Norma caliber ammunition.

Ray Kane is no stranger to this event and 3 position shooting is possibly his favourite discipline in the ISSF programme. Ray a national champion in smallbore 3 position in 2003 is accompanied by Joe O'Donohue the 2005 national indoor 25yrd prone champion. Together they should prove good competitors and no doubt much experience they will gain from this level of competition.

The competition is run from 09th October - 16th October. The daily reports and results can be followed at the link listed.
